How to play

Goal

Be the last player with living cells, or finish the match with the most cells.

Each round

Click cells to place. Turn 1 anywhere is legal; later turns you can only place adjacent to your own cells. You can place next to enemies — collisions resolve via the contested-cell tiebreak. Cells you place this round count as anchors for further cells the same round.
Press Enter or "End placement" to submit. Other players submit too — when everyone has, the simulation runs.
The selectable rule (Conway, HighLife, Day&Night, Seeds, Territorial) decides which cells survive, die, and are born.

Contested cells

Two players placing the same cell: whoever has fewer cells wins, ties broken randomly. Losers get +1 cell next turn as compensation.
